For Seth!
Turning the key in the ignition once again she listened as the engine spluttered, letting out a growl of annoyance she clicked the key and pulled it out. Tossing them onto the passenger seat she climbed out of the car and around to the bonnet. It was a funny sight to see, a young girl of only 16, dressed in a white summer dress and white dolly shoes climbing from the driver's seats of a 1966 convertible Mustang with it's roof down. She began to fiddle at the front and soon popped the hood of the car. She couldn't understand what was wrong, the car was perfect, she'd built it herself (with a little help) so why wasn't it running, she'd planned on going into Port Angeles to do a bit of shopping. Apparently that wasn't going to happen now, she began to rummage around in the hood for a moment and finally found the problem.
She reached into the glove box of the car and pulled her hair into a messy bun just to get it out of her face while she went about pulling out the faulty wiring. Having removed the exposed wiring, she tried to find out what had caused the wire insulation to rub away. With a frustrated sigh she couldn't see what had caused it to happen. Coming out of the bonnet she walked to the garage to have a rummage to find some new wire. She was just glad that she'd brought some stuff with her, Paul and her uncle Malcolm weren't exactly petrol heads, and without the stuff she needed she'd have had to wait for someone to drive her into town to get what she needed. Going back to the car she began to fiddle and little more and finally the wire was back in place.
Climbing back into the car she reached across to get the key, once again putting it into the ignition she turned the key and smiled as the car roared to life and began to purr. Now she got out to close the hood, a happy smile on her lips now, she definitely had to keep an eye on that, something had melted the wire this time so it could do it again. Lexi moved to get back into the driving seat when she noticed someone walking down the road. Raising an eyebrow she looked at the new comer; one of Paul's friends, she now pulled her hair out and let it fall around her shoulders once again before getting back into the car and closing the door.
